Hello

As you may have established, I am a new author and this is a new website. I hope you can stick with me as I mutter some initial thoughts, you may even have a butchers at my publications – an e-book short story and a novel. I hope so.

Creation of a website was totally beyond me so I managed to engage Lucy Felthouse of Writer Marketing Services – a decision which I very quickly realised was quite the best decision I could make. From word go she was on the case, every ignorant question on my part was systematically dealt with, every nuance I invented was accommodated, and her patience and creativity have allowed us to arrive at this fantastic result. Pleased to the extreme does not come close. Thank you Lucy.

One of the first things I delved in to was the debate regarding definitions of ‘Erotica’ and ‘Porn’. Wow, what a can of worms! As a newbie I didn’t want to be associated with porn writing but I wanted to create sexy stories. I very quickly established that people outside the genre regarded any detailed descriptions of explicit sex as porn, whereas writers within the genre have a much more defined view. I find that I particularly like the definitions provided by Sylvia Day on her website, where she describes Porn, Erotica, Erotic Romance, and Sexy Romance. After careful consideration I would say that my efforts fall into the Erotic Romance bracket. I would be interested to know what readers may think.

My stories have characters who wear fetish clothing but only hint at BDSM and kink, the sex is explicit but essentially vanilla, and the romantic connection between the characters is developed over the course of a series of sexy encounters. I wanted to encompass the interracial connection together with the LGBTQ+ consideration, and I find the futanari idea particularly fascinating. As a reader of the genre I took note of my reactions to the storylines and this has coloured my writing. I do not include topics that made me wrinkle my nose in distaste or made my jaw drop in utter disbelief. That being said, my stories are fantasy fiction and therefore are not exactly true to life. I try to include humour because smiling is ridiculously important to be able to do in our lives, and an emotional response to character interaction would be a bonus. Above all I try to entertain.
