Hello       

A bit more muttering. Well, this is the anniversary post. The website has been live for a whole year, and seems to have been completely invisible to folks apart from hackers and scammers. Ah well, will plod on regardless, at least the Pinterest boards have had a tiny bit of interest. I’m still working on the two new galleries; much fun.

I have had the beta report for Dione 2, and as he did for Dione 1, Nick Taylor has suggested a whole raft of entirely sensible improvements. I don’t quite agree with his comment about my use of single word and short sentences. Sigh. I like it. It’s economic. Although he does say watch for repetition. Sigh. 😊

I have the cover for the novella sorted – thanks to graphicworld247 – who has continued with the ‘house’ format created for Burglary, for a very agreeable fee. I need to carry out some further edits and then it will be available on Amazon as an eBook. I have a design planned for Dione 2 but I need to wait until I have a definitive word count to allow for the spine in the book version. Images for both have been sourced from 123rf.

Editing for Dione 2 continues apace; it has made me wonder if I should go back to Dione 1 for a re-edit, I seem to be focusing far more on converting Passive voice to Active voice. There is a list of ‘State of being’ verbs that should apparently be removed. The preceding sentence includes ‘is, should, be’ – added to which we are advised to not use ‘there is’ or ‘that’. Duh. How much of an understandable sentence would be left?? [Watch it – ed.]
