Mini-mutterings time. Following publication of Dione Deviation, I decided to go back and re-edit Dione Conquests – turns out it’s a disaster! The number of alterations I’ve felt it necessary to make illustrate how much I have learned. I’m seriously embarrassed. One thing I have focused on is the inconsistency of language. While I am a Brit, I was not prepared to fully embrace an approach aimed at Americanising my writing, as Lee Child and others have done, but I did nod in the direction of the US reader by using selected Americanisms, such as ‘-ize’ words, and ‘zipper’ instead of ‘zip’. However, I’ve realized (see?) in Deviation I used ‘zip’, but in Conquests I had used ‘zipper’, and in Escapades I had actually used both! My bad. Will re-edit further.

Okay, Conquests has been updated – both eBook and printed. Happier now. Yay…
