Slight mutterings time. Regarding the Pinterest image removal, it seems to have settled down now, presumably my alternatives are deemed to be acceptable. Oh, the joy!

Regarding the next efforts, I have started writing based on the succubus angle. On doing some research, it appears any interpretation of the concept is possible. I have read some very entertaining stories but one in particular made a big impression: Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead. I cannot deny a strong influence, and I have made my succubus character a reluctant demon, not keen on draining ‘good’ people but okay with seeing to ‘bad’ people. I think I have added in a couple of quirks that make her unique. The humour input is also very strong. I hope. My tongue is firmly in my cheek.

Another strong example I have come across is Bryce Calderwood’s Succubus Apocalypse series, which takes outrageous sexual fluid production to a whole new level. There is also much more emphasis on the horror/demons angle. I would like to think I’ve aimed somewhere between the two, with the third element of Dione’s established relationships providing an anchor to the story. But I really hope the humour input can add an amusing tint.
